To celebrate the Frabjous Beasts exhibition curated by Quentin Blake, we held a creative afternoon of inspirational fun in the gardens of the Holburne Museum

Children of all ages let their imaginations run wild as they created an array of terrifying monsters in the Bank Holiday sunshine. Leading illustrator Axel Scheffler, creator of the Gruffalo, let the lucky youngsters into some trade secrets as they joined his illustration workshop. With a wealth of other activities there was never a dull moment. Budding artists were enthralled by edible art, messy monsters, snail slime, monster masks and face painting to name but a few. Contented parents relaxed in the picnic area while their off-spring were captivated by the day's events.
